1. What This Reference Is
Santee Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections connected with Santee, San Diego County, and California. It hosts no government files and has no affiliation with City Hall, ARCC, a court, an election office, a library, or another records custodian.
2. Lawful Use Rules
Use the pages and anything reached through them only for lawful purposes. You may not use the reference or a linked result to:
- Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm a person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining order or confidentiality program
- Commit identity theft, fraud, impersonation, or another offense
- Make decisions covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, housing, insurance, or tenant screening
- Scrape, copy, or republish the pages at scale
- Disrupt security, availability, or normal operation
3. No Consumer Reporting Agency
This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following sections. Text on these pages and information returned by a linked search tool is not a consumer report. It may not be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered decision.
4. Outside Links and Tools
Government portals, libraries, archives, sponsored search tools, and other linked services set their own terms. We do not control their availability, content, prices, security, or data practices. A destination can change after a link is published.
5. No Warranties
The reference is supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that a page, fact, fee, coverage year, link, portal, or result is accurate, complete, current, or uninterrupted. The custodian is the proper source for confirmation.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including an action taken from a record found through it.
7. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from misuse of the pages, misuse of a linked record, or violation of these terms.
8. Original Material
The original writing, logo, design, and layout are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. A normal link and a short attributed quotation are welcome. Full-page republication or systematic copying is not permitted without permission.
9. Changes to These Terms
A revised version may be posted on this page. Use after the revision is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Access Restrictions
We may block or limit access when a person violates these terms, abuses a search tool, threatens a person, or interferes with the service. A restriction may occur without advance notice.
11. Governing Law
California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The California Public Records Act is codified at Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, but that statute governs records held by public agencies and does not turn this private reference into a custodian. California consumer-privacy rules appear in Civil Code section 1798.100 and following sections.
12. Severability
If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted.
13. Questions
Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page.
